Experienced sportscar team John Danby Racing will debut the Honda NSX for owner and Britcar race winner David Fenn having completed the build of the Japanese sportscar in time for this season’s final Britcar round at Brands Hatch on the 7th November.
The unique Honda NSX has been built to comply with the Britcar Production regulations and completed a successful shakedown test at Snetterton in Norfolk last Friday with sportscar racer James Barclay.
Subaru revealed today at the SEMA Show the Legacy GTk (k standing from kart) concept - the perfect car for a family day at the track. The Legacy GTk is powered by a 2.5-liter turbocharged and intercooled engine produces 300 hp and 350 lb.-ft. of torque, up from the stock model’s 265 hp and 258 lb.-ft.
The Legacy GTk features a black on red paintwork with front air dam with fog lights, custom window tint and rear diffuser. JAC Products was roped in to work on the roof cargo management hardware while the liftgate spoiler, the midgate spoiler and the blackout-style HID headlights came from a Japanese domestic market (JDM) Legacy.
On the interior there is a Harman/Kardon sound system, STI aluminium pedals and a 7-inch touch screen.
The Japanese carmaker Subaru has unveiled a 400 horsepower WRX STI with snow tracks at the SEMA Motor Show.
Power comes from a turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine (with a MOTEC M800 ECU) that produces approximately 400 hp and 400 lb-ft of torque. Besides the enhanced engine, Vermont installed a KAPS five-speed close-ratio 'dog-engagement' gearbox, a Subaru programmable DCCD (Driver Controlled Center Differential) all-wheel drive system.
Instead of wheels, the Subaru WRX STI TRAX features a Mattracks 105M1-A1 rubber track conversion and the car sits on Group N competition rally dampers made by EXE-TC.
The TRAX Concept also features: RECARO SPA ProRacer competition sport seats, carbon fiber door panels, and an onboard fire suppression system, a Yakima FatCat 4 Snowboard Rack, a Yakima Landing Pad rack base, and DC Shoes XFB-C Snowboards.
The 2010 Ford Mustang Cobra Jet has been introduced today at the SEMA show and hopes to continue the success of the 2008 model which managed a NHRA Winternationals victory. For its SEMA launch, Ford racing has unveiled a one-of-a-kind SEMA Special Silver Cobra Jet with charcoal Cobra Jet graphics. Like its predecessor, the 2010 Cobra Jet is intended for NHRA Stock and Super Stock racing.
Some of the equipment on the 2010 Ford Mustang Cobra Jet includes a full race-prepared automatic or manual transmission, drag race-specific shocks and springs, manual steering and brakes, 8.50 certified rollcage, and an Aeromitive return-style fuel system with trunk-mounted fuel cell. The 2010 Ford Mustang Cobra Jet also features a control/rev limiter that will allow the driver preset the rpm after they stage the car.
Production of the 2010 Cobra Jets will kick off in January at the Auto Alliance International (AAI) assembly plant in Flat Rock, Mich. All 50 units of the car have already been spoken for and deliveries are expected to begin in the first quarter of 2010.
Since the Cobra Jet is produced from a base V-6 Mustang, any consumer can turn his Mustang into a Cobra Jet by purchasing the parts from the Ford Performance Parts catalog.
Chevrolet has introduced the Heritage Package for Corvette Grand Sport, at the SEMA Motor Show in Las Vegas. The model you see here shows a bunch of Grand Sport accessories that will be offered in 2010. The 2010 Chevrolet Grand Sport accessories are expected to go on sale in early 2010 at any Chevrolet or other authorized GM dealer.
Essentially a collection of accessories, the Heritage Package offers styling details such as mesh inserts for the front fender vents, ZR1-inspired bodywork, dark chrome badges, body-colored door handles, and a "tech" pattern engine cover. Inside, the Heritage Package features floor mats with the Grand Sport logo, red accent stitching on the shifter knob and parking brake, "tech" pattern interior trim, iPod connectivity, a convertible wind screen, racing-style pedals, and an interior storage package.
The SPT 2010 Subaru Impreza WRX STI premiered at this year's SEMA show keeps the stock powertrain almost intact. The SPT 2010 Subaru Impreza WRX STI is powered by the 2.5 liter DOHC, 16 valve, turbocharged and intercooled 4-cylinder Subaru Boxer engine, equipped with the Dual Active Valve Control System. This means the SPT 2010 Subaru Impreza WRX STI develops 290 lb.-ft. of torque at 4,000 RPM while the power output goes up to 315 hp at 6,000 RPM thanks to a new exhaust system.
The suspension system of the SPT 2010 Subaru Impreza WRX STI features new springs and a SPT strut tower brace and lower chassis brace. the car sits on Prodrive GT2 wheels.
The interior of the SPT 2010 Subaru Impreza WRX STI includes six 10-inch LCDs scattered around, a boost gauge, a media hub digital music integration system and an auto-dimming mirror with transflective display and a HomeLink transmitter.
